Hey, and welcome to Carter Farm!

We're Richard and Darliene Carter. In our previous life, we owned and operated Greenleaf Nursery in Laurel Hill, Florida. In May of 2006 we sold the nursery and “retired” to Ider, Alabama, where we now operate Carter Farm.

Richard has 45+ years experience farming, working row crops, working with honey bees and working with nursery plants. Darliene is a homemaker, published artist and store owner.

These days, Richard spends his idle time restoring antique tractors, working with his honey bees, gardening, canning, and raising minature and dwarf donkeys. Darliene is canning, working with the roses, flower garden, painting, and being a store owner. (Retired right?? LOL)

We are interested in buying Cub tractors and especially the parts and equipment that went with them, so if you have any questions about tractor parts of any kind, or want to buy or sell some, contact us. We also buy all kinds of antique farm related items, and we are currently buying minature and dwarf donkeys.

We want to take the time to thank all the valuable customers that traded with us for many years. Richard is still available to answer all of our past customers' questions relating to plants and landscaping. Even if you weren't a customer back then, if you have any questions relating to nursery stock, plants, and etc feel free to contact us for information. After being in the nursery business for 35 years, we will be glad to relate any of our past experience on to you.

The retail outlet (Darliene's Backporch) is in downtown Ider. Call 657-6078, and thanks again to all our valuable customers in the past.... and to the new ones in the future!

Thanks, happy gardening

Richard & Darliene Carter
